FIT SHOW 2017 INSTALLER PROGRAMME GRABS THE LIMELIGHT Epwin Window Systems launched its Excellence as Standard installer programme at FIT 2017 and the impressive sign up rate reflects the value it will give to member businesses. Over 100 businesses took the pledge before and at the show and the number has continued to increase in the time since. » » Excellence as Standard is designed to promote excellence amongst extruders, manufacturers, installers and partners across the window and door industry. The programme advocates excellence at every stage of the project – from manufacturing through to the installation in a consumer’s home. Installers who are part of the programme will be demonstrating they are committed to raising standards across the industry and delivering an outstanding customer experience. The programme was the centrepiece of the Epwin stand at FIT where a wealth of launch activities took place. A series of masterclasses were held on all three days of the show, giving installers information on the programme and providing an insight into its benefits. The #takethepledge hashtag helped to spread the word about the programme both in the exhibition halls and further afield. And throughout the show, Epwin team members were on hand to talk installers through the programme and sign them up. The interest that Excellence as Standard attracted at FIT is a reflection of a programme that is the most comprehensive ever devised. The core aim of the programme is to enhance loyalty and trust between both fabricators and installers along with their homeowner customers by providing clear, recognisable and measurable standards for service and product quality. Excellence as Standard membership will also give installers training and development opportunities plus access to the Excellence as Standard Academy. These benefits reflect installers’ quest for excellence that Sharn Samra, Epwin Window Systems’ Marketing Director, says was evident from their research. “Our research found that most installers place a very high emphasis on personal development and enhanced reputation amongst their customers as they know that these elements are crucial to future growth,” she says. Alongside the training and development opportunities, Excellence as Standard members will have access to leads, marketing and business support from approved specialist partners. Distinct branding and marketing materials have been developed for Spectus, Profile 22 and Swish installers to ensure Excellence as Standard members are clearly distinguished. This includes van livery, showroom POS, literature and workwear as well as listings in the Excellence as Standard directory. Epwin is working in partnership with FENSA on the programme and members will receive a card that is co-branded with FENSA and Excellence as Standard as part of their membership package. Jon Vanstone, FENSA Director says: ”We are delighted to be working in collaboration with the Epwin Group. FENSA is continually looking for ways to enhance its service offering on the compliance front to make things simple for installers. This new partnership represents a fantastic strategic opportunity for our leading brands to leverage value for the benefit of our members and clients.” Sharn added: “Excellence as Standard is so much more than a conventional registered installer programme and the reaction from both installers and fabricators shows that it is just what the industry needs.” Sharn concluded: “We believe Excellence as Standard will re-define the benchmark in the home improvement industry and the sign up rate to date proves there’s a real appetite for quality. I would urge any installer who shares our commitment to driving standards and success to take the pledge and join us today for the start of a very exciting journey.” www.excellenceas.co.uk J UL 2 0 1 7 7 1
