HARDWARE& SECURITY A Traditional Choice »»Leading hardware manufacturer, Kenrick has significantly increased production of its high security timber door lock as the industry sees a growing consumer appetite for quality timber entrance doors. Production rates of the door lock are at an all-time high since it was launched two years ago to cater for the rising demand for timber among discerning homeowners. The door lock has been designed to offer the highest levels of security for the end user, whilst making installation faster and easier for installers working within tight timescales. Steve Williams, Kenrick’s sales and marketing director, says: “Timber is often the preferred choice for traditional and country style properties, particularly in rural and conservation areas where planning regulations have become more stringent. Homeowners are definitely becoming more sophisticated in the choice of material for their entrance door and they don’t want it to be compromised with an inferior door lock. “We’re delighted with the success of this product and believe it is one of the best systems available in the industry today, offering a host of features that are unmatched by other products.” Steve adds. The doorlock has a 45mm backset optimises the handle clearance from the outer frame for ease of use, whilst fully adjustable keeps enable the hooks to fully compress the gaskets when locked. For the installer, there is a high level of adjustment available on the keeps, which ensures that it is fast and simple to fit without undermining overall security or performance. The lock’s 20mm wide faceplate features radius ends to enable easy preparation and fitting on a timber door sash. Its fully adjustable keeps can be easily routed into the outer frame to provide a completely flush finish. The latch is fully adjustable and the hook keeps can be adjusted to +/- 2mm to ensure that the door provides adequate sealing compression. www.kenricks.co.uk Teaming up for Success »»An exclusive partnership has been agreed between two leading manufacturers of sealing solutions to supply a new product to the UK window and door industry.
