After securing a number of high profile contracts wins with house builders such as Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Larkfleet, Harron Homes and Gleeson the company is also boasting a £11m order book. Other key milestones for the business include; extension of its premises to house a new glass plant, purchase of a new liveried vehicle fleet, launching a bespoke software system and celebrating a key member of staff’s being awarded the ‘first female Business Person of the Year’ by the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce. BMW Windows was established in 1985, with founders Bent, Murphy and Wilkinson lending their initials to the company name. Its current executive team – John and Debbie Jefferson and their sons, John and Andrew – took over the running of the company in 1997-98, with John Snr. leaving his accountancy job to branch out in business alone. He commented: “It’s not often that you come across a double glazing company celebrating its 30th year in business.
