DOORS&WINDOWS
Impressive Installation
»»CWG Choices customer, Avon
Bridge Conservatories & Windows Ltd
recently completed an impressive installation
in Chartwell Green on white using
Kömmerling’s revered five-chambered O70
Gold® system.
Avon Bridge has worked on an illustrious
list of properties in various Cotswold villages
and towns and believes that its expertise and
the product range from CWG Choices and
Kömmerling is a deciding factor.
These larger properties in the Cotswolds
also require more heating and therefore the
adoption of a five-chambered window and
door system has also added further weight
their sales proposition, with Avon Bridge
offering ‘A’ rated windows as standard.
Jason Wilder, co-director of CWG Choices
concluded: “Avon Bridge has been a great
customer for us over a number of years and
has been quick to adopt the new foils available
from stock from Kömmerling. Our sales of
foiled windows are now quickly approaching
30% of our business.”

RETURNING BACK TO SCHOOL
»»A new Glazerite Windows Ltd
customer, D&M Windows & Doors recently
took a trip back to school during half term to
fit Salterlee Primary School’s new Matrix 70
window system.
Originally built in 1877, the stones from
which the school is built were locally quarried
by the families of some of the first pupils.
Since then, generations of staff, school
councillors, governors and PTA members have
strived to uphold its Latin motto: “Multum in
Parvo” (meaning “from a little comes a lot”).
The contract was specified VEKA by A&A
projects while VEKA commercial conducted
the feasibility study as well as structural and
wind-loading calculations so that everything
was deemed suitable for the “happy, warm and
welcoming school.”
MD of D&M, Mark Hoolickin personally
visited the site to pre survey and finalise the
finer details as to ensure his fitting teams
would perform to a high standard and
complete a first class job. Glazerite’s
Sales Manager Peter Smith was quick to sing
the praises of the Oldham-based installer:
“They have the expertise to cope with small
and large contracts and do an exceptional
job. They’re also great people to work
alongside, hopefully they will be given more
opportunities to show off their capabilities.”

A BRIGHT NEW LOOK
»»New-look pro tapes
for Synseal’s popular Shield and
SynerJy PVCu profiles are being
introduced during 2015.
An online survey was conducted to
test installer perceptions of a number of
pro tape options including a plain white
design, a multi-lingual design featuring the six
most popular languages used by tradesmen
working on British construction projects
(English, Welsh, Gaelic, Polish, Punjabi and
Gujarati) and an eco-friendly ‘remove and
recycle’ design.
“The research gave us an undisputed
winner” says Mark Schlotel, Synseal’s Head

of Marketing. “The dual-colour design with
‘remove and recycle’ messaging was clearly
the favourite and there’s no doubt that these
new pro tapes, featuring our distinctive Shield
and SynerJy logos, will be a big improvement
to replace the existing mono-colour
designs.
