retaining his national sales
management responsibilities, he
will also sit on the company’s
board of directors.
With over thirty years’
experience gained across
management, technical, sales
and hands-on roles in the door
and window industries, John
returned to Carl F Groupco in
2017 to head up the company’s
nationwide team of Regional
Sales Managers (RSMs): he
had previously worked for the
company for eight years as an
RSM.
Commenting on the
appointment of John King to

After starting his career in
fabrication in the early days
of PVCu, John moved to a
technical services post. He
went on to take the positions of
Production Director and head
of a commercial installation
operation before joining Carl F
Groupco. marketing will bolster Insight
Data’s skill set at its customers’
disposal.
Lucy comments: “It’s exciting
to join such a high-profile
business which is achieving great
things. My aim is to evaluate the
customer journey to ensure we
are maximising every opportunity
and delivering as much value as
we can. Ultimately, I want to help

Exciting appointment ‘comes with some history’

announced the exciting appointment of Steve
Gardiner to the role of Managing Director.
The prominent Stoke-based fabricator is
looking to continue its growth this year after
a hugely successful 2018, which included sales
figures hitting £1m for August.
Steve has an impressive CV; joining Everest
in 1999 as Operations Director and helping it
grow from £80m-£165m in his 12 years there
before leaving in 2010. He’s also had spells at
CET Glass in Northampton, which is now
Epwin Glass, Wendland Roofs, which is now
part of Ultraframe, and, more recently, Float
Glass Industries.
Interestingly, the appointment comes with
some history as Steve and Roy Frost, Group
CEO, have worked together at various stages
of their careers.
Steve said: “I am delighted to be joining
Listers at such an exciting time, and am
looking forward to working with Roy again.
The thing that stands out with Listers is
their customer relationships and innovative
products, and we are looking forward to a
fantastic future.”
Roy added: “I know how Steve works and
