INSTALLERSUPPORT
New and approved
» » EUROCELL, THE UK’S LEADING
manufacturer, distributor and recycler of
PVC-U windows and doors, has launched
the Eurocell Select approved installer scheme,
which aims to develop a trusted network of
installers across the UK.
Eurocell’s new initiative – which is backed
by CERTASS and FENSA – will allow
installers of Eurocell windows and doors to
gain certification following a training course
and aims to help tradespeople overcome what
is often deemed a ‘cowboy image’ within the
industry and provide customers with peace of
mind when selecting an installer.
Free training will be held at various
locations across the UK and will include
both practical installation auditing to
industry quality standards and classroom
sessions, covering health and safety, use of
PPE, and window and door installation/
uninstallation.
Eurocell will also provide free product and
installation training for all products covered
within the scheme, plus top tips to overcome
common issues. Once trained and certified,
installers will qualify for lead referrals,
marketing support, Alternative Dispute
Resolution (ADR) service and additional
advice.
Commenting on the Eurocell Select
scheme, Chris Coxon, head of marketing at
Eurocell, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching
the Eurocell Select scheme, which will not
only help recognise and reward quality
installers, but also provide evidence of quality
control so that home owners can be reassured
that installers are properly trained and care
about doing a great job.
“The scheme is backed by independent
certification bodies CERTASS and
FENSA and has already been approved by
Constructionline. We’re excited to get started,
see the first batch of recruits become certified,
and perhaps most importantly - help installers
on the scheme to win new business.”
Chris Beedel, Director of Membership
at FENSA welcomed the introduction
of the Eurocell Select Approved Installer
Scheme. He said: “Industry led initiatives
which complement the FENSA self-
certification scheme and champion
continuous improvement in knowledge
and understanding within the fenestration
industry are always welcome. This in turn
helps installers to develop their business
and build industry confidence among
homeowners.”
Eurocell is looking to recruit 350
domestic trade installers and 60 specification
installers, who will all receive free TrustMark
accreditation, onto the scheme. Those
interested in the Eurocell Select scheme
should call 0800 988 3049 or visit eurocell.

wishing to transfer from existing schemes.
Big Pink Book
Goes Digital
Fresh from the publication of its
product directory dubbed as the
‘big pink book’, Window Widgets
has now launched its new website
at www.windowwidgets.co.uk
» » DESIGNED TO BE
fully responsive on mobile,
tablet and desktop, the
site has been split into
20 carefully colour-coded
product categories, each
one detailing product and
ordering information, offering
downloads and highlighting key
features. These sections include
couplers, baypoles, corner
posts, jacks and foiled trims.
The recent graphic elements
inspired by pop art also feature
throughout the site, replicating
the look and feel from the
latest catalogue and product
advertising. An online ordering
portal is also in development for
the new website; adding further
functionality.
Sarah Hitchings, sales and
marketing director of Window
Widgets commented: “The
new website is rich with
product information and is also
supported by internal sales
executive Adrian Clare and trade
sales executive Tom Edwards.
For our customers there’s also
the reassurance of dealing with
a company that manufactures all
of the extrusions and mouldings
in house and importantly,
carrying CE marking and BBA
certification.”
