INDUSTRYNEWS A Royle Laugh A comedy sketch starring scouse TV comedy legend Ricky Tomlinson and the new Innolux PVCu bi-folding door has been released by fabricator Warwick North West. »»The sketch features Ricky’s most famous character, slob Jim Royle sitting in his armchair and calling out for son Anthony and son-in-law Dave to come and open the bi-fold door in the lounge. When Jim gets no response, he angrily jumps up and proceeds to open the door himself. Jim’s frustration soon turns to delight when he realises the bi-fold is easier to operate than he first anticipated – and if his closing comment is anything to go by, it’s fair to say he’s glad he replaced his French door with a bi-fold. You can watch the sketch by visiting Warwick’s Youtube account https://www. youtube.com/watch?v=CeYrFQwCp_k Warwick director Greg Johnson commented: “When we launched the video we sent out an e-shot with a link to our Youtube account and we were flooded with positive feedback. It was a real pleasure to work with Ricky and we’re glad the sketch has given a good laugh to many in the industry. The sketch is funny but it has a serious message – our Innolux bi-folds are premium quality and easier to operate than you might think.” www.warwicknorthwest.co.uk or call 0151 933 3030 Exhibition stands attract homebuilders and renovators »»The Roof Assured by Sarnafil team enjoyed a successful Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the Harrogate International Centre where 10,000 visitors came through the doors to source new products, get expert advice and browse the aisles. This was the fourth Homebuilding & Renovating Show for Roof Assured in 2015 and will continue to be part of its events schedule going into this year. Charles Pierce, Head of Roof Assured, said: “The shows generate a high level of interest with one of our target audiences – the homebuilder and renovator. They generate excellent enquiries from people with real projects on the go and create genuine business enquiries for our network of registered installers.” Leads generated at the show were a mix of current, future and planning stage enquiries about flat roof solutions. Bob Newall, Business Development Manager, Roof Assured by Sarnafil, said: “Visitors to the stand have heard about the Sarnafil membrane from their architects and come to learn more about the brand and the membrane for themselves. For others, the single ply membrane is still a relatively unknown technology and they are all ears to hear about the brand and see an installation demo. They are particularly interested to hear about the company’s Swiss heritage and the fact that some of its earliest roofs are now over 50 years old.” Visit www.roofassured.co.uk C L E A RV I E W-U K .
