Supporting
the needy
A food bank in Kilsyth near Glasgow
which works to alleviate hunger in its
local community is benefitting from an
upgrade to its premises thanks to the
supply and installation of new doors
and windows by CMS Windows.
»»The company was so
impressed with the work by
Kilsyth Community Food Bank
that it has also committed to
becoming the charity’s official
partner and will support the
charity with future fund-raising
activities.
CMS – based in nearby
Cumbernauld – assisted
the charity by removing the
draughty old windows and
wooden garage doors and
replacing them with new PVCu
windows and French doors
which provide much needed
natural daylight inside the food
bank and keep the building
warmer.
Lesley Murray from Kilsyth
Community Food Bank said:
“The doors and windows
supplied by CMS to Kilsyth
Community Food Bank have
made an incredible difference
to our premises. Prior to CMS’
donation we actually had no
external doors and no windows.
We only had ugly wooden
garage doors.
“The donation has totally
changed the look of our
building and has given it a
new lease of life and made it so
welcoming to those who use our
service. The building has gone
from being cold, draughty and
damp to being cosy and warm.
“We can’t thank CMS
enough for their generosity and
we are pleased that they have
agreed to be our official partner,
pledging their long term
support.”
