FAKRO Flat Roof
Gable System launch
at NEC show

FAKRO, one of

the world’s leading roof window
manufacturers, will be exhibiting
at the National Home Building
Show, stand D183 and will be
launching its EFR Flat Roof Gable
System.
The new system is designed
to provide a twin pitch for roof
windows within a flat roof or
pitch up to 15°. By effectively
raising the ceiling its gabled,
timber structure provides a really
eye-catching feature with the
minimum of effort in terms of
installation. It opens up the room
and, in contrast to the poor
standard of natural light which
would otherwise have been
available, transforms the living
environment.

Standard FAKRO roof windows are used,
while a Thermo flashing can provide an
exceptional standard of thermal insulation.
Inner surfaces are finished with plywood and
can be covered with a lining.
The Flat Roof Gable System contains all
the necessary fitting accessories and is used
with standard FAKRO windows which are
purchased separately. Conventional FAKRO
exterior awnings and internal blinds can be
used, normally using electrical operation.
The basic EFR system is supplied for
window widths of 78cm and 114 cm and a
standard height of 118cm. The maximum flat
roof opening is 228x250cm while the standard
apex between windows is 120°. The system
can, however, also be manufactured to meet
specific project requirements.
