Annual Review EXCELLENT POTENTIAL IN PREMIUM MARKET Gareth Mobley, CEO - DW3 Product Group Thermal demand Andy Jones, Synseal Group » » 2017 HAS BEEN A WHIRLWIND year for our WarmCore range with the launch of three new products – our WarmCore SV (slim vent) window and next generation WarmCore Inline Patio Door, which have both just been successfully tested to meet the requirements of PAS 24:2016, and the discreet WarmCore Fixed Roof Light for our Celsius Solid Roof system. The positive response to these products in feedback and sales demonstrates the consumer demand for thermally efficient aluminum. Across our wider product ranges, we have invested a lot in transferring our core PVC-U profile customers to our EnviroCore range. Customers are impressed with the dark grey, premium quality of our recycled core which has proven to be a great advantage for reducing production waste and stabilising costs against a backdrop of fluctuating resin prices these past 12 months. As well as some leadership changes, our continuous improvement programme is running effectively and has delivered a wide range of product improvements including retiring old profiles and enhancing ancillary products for better performance. We look forward to continuing this work into 2018, which we expect to be another exciting year for the Synseal Group. www.synseal.com » » WHILE THE MASS MARKET IS now flat to declining, the premium market is growing strongly, and has excellent potential to continue its upward trend. 2017 has seen growth across all brands in the DW3 group. Solidor is up 25%, Residence Collection up 20% year-on-year, while Window Widgets has taken on 65 new customers over the year, and successfully launched new Romatopola hardware. The expansion of Residor’s range - with new colours, styles and glass designs – has also gone down a storm. Quality products and a quality service go hand in hand, and DW3 has worked very hard to perfect our service engine. In October we hit a fantastic 100% OTIF for 100 days for the Solidor Group. That’s every single door produced by Solidor, Residor and Nicedor! Although no manufacturer can realistically maintain that, our annual rate is 99.9% OTIF: world-class. We’ve some significant changes across our facilities, operations and processes to achieve this, and every employee really is committed to achieving the best. As part of this ongoing process we’ve structured the Group for the next stage of growth, for us and our customers, with new appointments and promotions from within. www.solidor.co.uk George’s tips are a hit Truedor has continued to go from strength to strength during 2017 with product Ambassador George Clarke’s monthly tips for trade installers to use with consumers being particularly popular. Use of his imagery in showrooms and on bespoke installer literature through the Truedor Partner Programme has grown significantly. » » THE PRODUCT RANGE HAS continued to expand with dazzling new colours not previously used on Composite Doors finding real favour in the consumer market. As the year comes to a close, IG Doors are in the final stages of completing a move to a brand new high-tech manufacturing facility which will enable further growth, further product development and the continued development of customer service and support. www.igdoors.co.uk C L E A RV I E W-U K .
