NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTED

Ironmongers (GAI) has appointed Neil Fisher
as its new Director.
Neil’s career has over 20 years of senior
management experience in education, training
and membership organisations in the public,
private and not-for-profit sectors in the UK
and internationally. He has extensive higher
education experience having managed MSC,
PhD programmes, professional short courses
and apprenticeships.
Maria Powell, president of the GAI, said:
“Neil’s expertise will be really good for the
Guild in our bid to expand our education
reach and our portfolio of education products.
With a strong track record of leading
membership organisations too, we believe
Neil will help drive our business plan forward,
as well as creating enhanced value for GAI
members.

tied down! Mark Richmond is back in action
as Sales Director at specialist sash window
fabricator Victorian Sliders.
Mark is a very well-known figure in the
UK fenestration industry and his irrepressible
character and dynamic approach is already
making a big impact with customers at Victorian
Sliders, Europe’s largest specialist manufacturers
of PVCu vertical sliding sash windows.
“I visited their headquarters in South Wales
and was totally blown away by the operational
investments and forward-looking vision at
Victorian Sliders”, says Mark. “I wanted to
be part of this exciting success story, so after
discussions I agreed to join the company as a
member of the senior management team, in
charge of sales.”
Victorian Sliders fabricate made to measure
ECOSlide PVCu sash windows in a purposebuilt 100,000 square foot production facility
in Capel Hendre, Carmarthenshire. Every
aspect of product manufacturing is carried out
in-house, including engineering and design
of window profiles, specialist profile bending,
woodgrain foil or colour spray surface
finishing of the window frame components,
toughened sealed double glass unit making
and final assembly of complete CE Marked
sash windows ready for despatch.

Toby Hodgkinson has joined as
a Senior Developer, Adam Wade
is a Field Programmer and the
newest recruit is Elliot Chadwick

backgrounds in IT and software
development and all three
are based at Business Micros’
Newton le Willows installations
office.

who are using existing

applications including EvoNet,
while Elliot is very much
customer facing both on the
phone answering queries and
visiting customers for machinery
installs and to set up CNC
links.
Managing Director Graeme
Bailey is delighted with how the
business is growing. He says:
