The Mule Glass Trolley

Handling has launched a new glass
lifting trolley, for the glass industry.
»»The company has
recently branched out of its
comfort zone to supply the
new ‘Mule’ lifting trolley in
to the glazing industry. The
machine which can be operated
by one person is designed to
lift glass sheets up to 300 Kg
(660 lbs)
A portable 12 volt battery
powered, DC vacuum pump
applies vacuum to four suction
cups, to allow the trolley to
rotate glass 360 degrees and
let the sheets be loaded onto
an edgework machine. It has
a lifting capacity for 4400mm
(180”) length glass sheets.
The ‘Mule’ glass trolley
is cost effective only using a
quarter of the energy needed,
compared to using a basic
overhead crane and reduces
the health and safety risk of
operators manual handling
glass sheets.
Compliant with all relevant
European Directives, the trolley
performs well in locations, for
example outside, where loading or
transporting glass around can be
awkward and dangerous.
