MOVERS&SHAKERS KEVIN BUCKLEY TO LEAD GGF’S ‘NEW PHASE’ » » THE GLASS AND GLAZING Federation (GGF) Group has appointed Kevin Buckley as interim Chief Executive to take the Federation and its subsidiary companies through their next phase of development. Many in the industry may be unaware of Kevin’s involvement, but he has been working with the GGF Group for almost a year; initially as interim CEO of the subsidiary companies and more recently as a strategic consultant for the Group. With close to thirty years senior management experience, Kevin has been instrumental in growing and developing international companies such as technology and telecoms giant NEC and in various strategic and leadership roles with diverse organisations such as Hertfordshire Local Authorities and university start-ups. Kevin aims to use his considerable expertise in business development and transformational management for the GGF’s advantage. On his appointment Kevin commented, “The GGF and its five subsidiaries are in good shape but there is of course always room for improvement. During the second half of 2017, I have been responsible for the management and planning processes for the GGF’s commercial companies and I am now looking forward to making a real difference for the GGF and its membership. “I am aware of some negative comments made recently in the trade media and of course when people leave an organisation it is inevitable opinions will be formed. However, I prefer to deal with the facts and the future. The facts being the GGF is the leading trade body in the sector, it has a highly skilled and very experienced professional staff. It also has a loyal and growing membership and is financially secure. My role will be to bring greater stability and to work closely with the GGF Board and other senior leaders to complete our transitional period and to build on our strengths for the benefit of our Members.” Recently GGF President John Agnew released a statement on the progress of the GGF underlining that the Federation is going through a period of change following its restructure in 2017. On this latest appointment, John commented, “We are pleased that Kevin has accepted the role. I have no doubt his wealth of experience and senior management skills in numerous complex organisations will be of great benefit to the GGF and our group of subsidiary companies.” http://www.ggf.org.uk Continued success sees five new appointments » » HIGHLY-RESPECTED manufacturer SupaLite is building on the continued success of its replacement tiled roof systems by welcoming five new staff to its headquarters in Preston - four of whom are joining SupaLite’s sales team.
