HARDWARE& SECURITY Counting Down to Lockex With just one month to go, the organisers of Lockex, the uniquely tailored exhibition aimed at locksmiths, are already claiming the event to be a huge success with a massive up-take of visitor registrations for the show and its series of daily training courses on offer. »»LOCKEX IS TO BE HELD AT THE Ricoh Arena, Coventry on September 16th – 18th and will play host to a list of renowned exhibitors including; ASSA Abloy, Henry Squire and Co, Hickleys and Keyprint to name but a few. Rob Exley, Director for Lockex, comments: “Registration for the show has been increasing daily, with pre-registrations now well over a thousand. We are seeing a wide range of industries interested in visiting the show, including some international visitors. “The event was initially born out of the need to create an exhibition tailored to the needs of the locksmith, and after extensive research conducted through a series of surveys, we were able to construct a show for just that; what the locksmith wants to do and see when they visit an exhibition. “The interest for the show has been fantastic from the very start and we have evolved the ideas we had initially to add further incentives at the show, for example, Locksmiths who pre-register early will get a free breakfast and £5 lunch voucher on arrival, so no one need go hungry while networking and seeing the latest new products available on the market,” Rob adds. 72 » AUG 2016 » CL EARVI E W- UK . C O M THREE DAYS OF EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE Over the three-day period of the show, from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th September 2016, the Locksmith industry will come together to meet for the first ever Lockex exhibition, a show created entirely for them. The show will see the likes of lock, safe and auto-locksmith equipment manufacturers and distributors all under one roof, as well as offering an extensive list of training sessions to cover all aspects of the industry’s activities. Pulling together the latest technology and product enhancements in the industry, the show will see six of the industry’s renowned Locksmith and Auto-Locksmith manufacturers and suppliers draw from their wealth of knowledge to ensure delegates have the latest information to practice their profession in the best possible way. Rob continues: “We have sought out some of the top names in the industry after asking Locksmiths about what issues were important to them. “Each workshop session over the three days has been devised to cover those issues and will see the likes of Keyprint, Hinkleys, MPL, Tradelocks, Securefast and M Marcus talk delegates through a series of subjects, offering advice and practical tips on how to overcome each issue.” Each day, delegates will be invited to attend the session at 11am for breakfast and will then be able attend their chosen sessions, which run throughout the day, up until 5pm. “Spaces on each workshop session are limited, so we are encouraging attendees to book as soon as they can to avoid disappointment,” Rob adds.
