doors&windows sponsored by New composite door profiles REHAU has announced that its new composite door outer frame profiles are now available to the whole of its fabricator network. »»Customers can now have a new 62mm profile suitable for use with a 44mm door slab and a new transom for fabricating a fixed light above, as well as an existing 72mm outer frame profile so they can choose the right solution for them. Marketing and Technical Director Gareth Jones says: “The profiles help to complete our range at a time when the composite door market is continuing to boom. REHAU customers can now offer slimmer sightlines and at the same time offer profiles which suite perfectly with REHAU TOTAL70C side lights and matching window installations.” Additional benefits of the new profiles are they work neatly with all of the most widely used low thresholds on the market and feature standard brush pile height. The new transom can be either mechanically jointed or welded and because it is part of the REHAU TOTAL70C range, it is compatible with a wide choice of glazing beads so that customers can choose any size of glazing unit for the fixed light. Gareth added: “Customers selling a whole house of windows and doors can now offer REHAU profiles throughout without compromising on any aspect of the fabrication or the installation.” The new door profiles, which were previewed at last year’s FIT show, have until now only been available to buy as finished frames from a limited number of specialist door manufacturers but REHAU is now making them available to all of its customers. ‘making them available to all’ www.rehau.co.uk Heavyweight Champion »»AluK (GB) has introduced the new BSF70 HD aluminium folding door system, providing its customers with a unique offering that will help to expand their business opportunities.
