At the outset ERA had set a £10,000 target, enough for four call- outs, each costing approximately £2,500. Employees used their ingenuity to come up with a broad variety of fund-raising activities, including a book sale, Valentines’ raffle, Grand National competition, World Cup raffle and sweepstake, Christmas raffle, a sponsored Snowden walk and collection tins. In addition, ERA’s suppliers kindly made donations. Commenting on the donation, Jon Cottrell of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said: “We are reliant on donations to keep us operational as we receive no government funding. For anyone wishing to know more about how to get involved with the charity, please visit for more information.” Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 49,000 missions, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK. “Setting the standard for innovation in the industry” » » EPWIN WINDOW Systems has announced investment in a new 300,000 square foot distribution centre in Telford, Shropshire.
