MOVERS&SHAKERS Strengthening customer services team A NEW ERA » » THE GLASS AND GLAZING Federation (GGF) is pleased to announce that Phil Pluck has been appointed as its new Chief Executive. Bringing with him a reputation for focusing on membership value and influence, Phil has previously worked on putting membership and their services at the very heart of his organisations. On accepting the GGF Chief Executive role, Phil commented: “It is a very real privilege to be joining the GGF as their next CEO. It is clear from my discussions with the Board that they wish to see the Federation grow its influence across the sector and with government. Being part of the GGF at this time to both support its current success and to take it to the next stage of its growth is very exciting. It is clear that GGF has a great team and Board supporting its Members and I look forward to working with all to achieve the GGF’s ambitions.” Phil will officially start at the GGF on 2nd May 2017, taking over from Brian Baker who is currently interim Chief Executive. C O M » » PHOENIX DOORS, PART OF MASCO UK Window Group, has strengthened its customer services team with two key appointments reflecting the way the fast- growing composite door and PVCu door panel manufacturer looks after its customers. Jason Donnelly has been appointed Customer Service Office Manager, while Will Reader has rejoined the company in a new proactive client-facing role as Customer Experience Manager. In his new position, Jason brings extensive Network Rail management experience to leading a small team responsible for both internal and external customer relationships. He comments: “I’m enjoying a fresh challenge in a new industry and looking forward to helping deliver an excellent service throughout to all our customers.” A major part of Will’s new role will involve discussing issues and meeting with customers, Jason Donnelly (left) and Will Reader many of whom he knows already from his previous sales office experience at Phoenix. Both Jason and Will bring considerable knowledge, experience and skills to drive and implement change and improvements in customer service.” Newly created role Roger Hartshorn, CEO of Liniar, has announced the appointment of Martin Thurley to the newly created role of Managing Director. » » ROGER WELCOMED MARTIN ON his first day at HL Plastics, the innovative company behind the Liniar brand, explaining: “Due to Liniar’s significant growth over the last six years, I felt it was time to strengthen the senior management structure to enable me to focus exclusively on the strategic direction of the company. “The decision-making process at HL Plastics has always been swift, thanks to our flat structure – and as we grow I’m keen to maintain that so Liniar customers receive the same excellent levels of service they’ve come to expect. “Martin’s appointment as Managing Director will ensure we continue to fulfil and exceed expectations, as well as bringing another level of experience to the senior team.” Martin, who is moving to Liniar from Door-Stop, is MBA qualified and has extensive Operational and Commercial experience in both construction and manufacturing environments.
