A DEBUT FOR SWITCHABLE GLASS
»»Clayton Glass will be exhibiting
in the Innovation Zone at this
years FIT Show, with its new
SMARTGLASS® Dynamic,
powered by SageGlass
development, not just on its
stand, but the product is now
featured at the very front of The
International Centre Telford as
visitors arrive at the show.
SMARTGLASS® Dynamic is
a clear glass that, at the push of

a button, can transform across
a number of intermediate states
to a fully blue tinted state in just
a matter of minutes. In it’s fully
tinted state this revolutionary glass
technology from Saint Gobain can
block 91% of the sun’s rays and
reduce light transmission down to
just 1%, yet in it’s clear state has
similar properties to a standard
IGU and for everything else there
are two intermediate states.

This new electrochromic
switchable glass technology is
now commercially viable and
will be initially in a range of
lantern roofs on a 10 day lead
t ime, which are available from
a select number of partners,
including Prefix Systems. The
stand will feature one static and
two interactive samples of the
SMARTGLASS® Dynamic in
action, including an ultraSKY

lantern roof, along with a live
video demonstration.
SMARTGLASS® Dynamic is
part of an expanded range of
specialist solar control glass
for conservatories, Orangeries
and lantern roofs and includes
SMARTGLASS®-W, which is
a product range specifically
designed for conservatory
doors and windows, along with
large span bi-folding doors and
lift and slide patio doors.

EXCITING PRODUCT LAUNCHES
»»Following success at the first two FIT
shows, Atlas Glazed Roof Solutions will be
exhibiting for the third time this year.
The 10-strong Atlas team will be
demonstrating some key developments
for the Atlas roof, including the new Flat
Rooflight and the recently extended range
of Contemporary Lanterns. The stand will
also feature a full sized Skyroom, with some
exciting new additions.
The new Atlas Flat Rooflight, which
delivers an industry-leading complete roof
(glass and frame) U-value of 1.3 W/m2k will
be officially launched on a purpose built
demonstration stand at the FIT Show.

Atlas will also be unveiling its extended
range of Contemporary Lanterns. Boasting
the slimmest sightlines in the industry,
comparative tests have shown that the Atlas
Contemporary Lantern has a 60% slimmer
ridge and 38% slimmer hip internally, whilst
externally, it is more than 50% slimmer than
alternative systems.
