NEW INTERACTIVE WEBSITE
»»COOLSKIN® PIONEER FOR THE
composite and panel door markets, 3D
Laminates has just launched a new interactive
and fully responsive website at www.3dlaminates.com, which also includes details of its
new VEKA substrate and the full VEKAPLAN
sheet product range.
This new website includes several product
videos, a number of downloads for the trade
and consumer, along with a clever swatch
selector, which allows users to click on product
thumbnails of the CoolSkin® product range
and see it accurately blown up on screen for
the most exacting of detail. This includes 16
different woodgrains and eight different colours
and there are plans to expand this range as
minimum ordering quantities come down.
The CoolSkin® product dominates the
composite and panel door market in the UK
and in Europe. Mark Lofthouse, managing
director of 3D Laminates commented:
“The new responsive website shows off our
CoolSkin® range in incredible detail and
highlights our strong relationship with VEKA
and its impressive VEKAPLAN range. With
the UK market for new woodgrains and
rich colours looking at strong growth, this
website will be an important resource for those
involved in the composite and panel door
markets.”

FEELING THE LOVE WITH VALENTINE’S COMP
»»THE VEKA UK GROUP RECENTLY
ran a Valentine’s-themed competition, asking
member companies why they loved being part
of the Scheme. Amy Grundy, National Sales
Manager for t he Approved Installer Scheme,
explains, “In the end, we picked two winners,
as they’d really spent time and thought on their
answers, showing us just how important being
an Approved Installer is to their business.
“Scott Taylor, Director at Taylor’s Joinery and
Plastics in Workington, penned us a fantastic
poem, about the dependability of Approved
Installers. But it was the message we received
from Dave Marks at Millennium Windows in
Redruth that floored us!”
Dave wrote, “I think the Approved Installer
Scheme not only has so many different
varieties of helpful items available from the
Marketing Hub, but it has given me a sense
of being a part of an industry. At Millennium
Windows, for the first time, I have been given
leads from the Approved Installer Scheme, and
I do not feel after 19 years of sole trading as
Millennium Windows like I am on my own
in this industry. I have always used VEKA in
that time and will continue to do so. Thanks
for allowing me to be a very small part of this
whole Scheme.”

NEW BUILDER’S DATABASE HELPS
SUPPLIERS GENERATE MILLIONS
»»SMALL BUILDERS ARE THE
backbone of the building industry,
working on tens of thousands of
light commercial, new-build and
residential projects and spending
millions every year on building and
home improvement products.
Yet most local builders don’t
actively advertise themselves,
preferring to operate on wordof-mouth recommendations,
with some having no more than
a mobile phone number and
email address. Operating under
the radar, these builders are
notoriously difficult for suppliers
to track down.
Not anymore. Insight Data has
painstakingly developed the Local
Builders database, creating the
most comprehensive and detailed
marketing data of its kind.
Promoting your products and
services to small builders and
contractors is now easier than ever.
The database contains over 23,000
building contractors and firms
across the UK (with 17,800 verified
email addresses) who provide a
range of services in the building and
construction industry, ranging from
extensions and home improvements
to light commercial and new-build
projects.
Jade Greenhow, operations
manager, comments, “The Local
Builders Database is a powerful
marketing tool, which can help
you to drastically increase sales.”
The database contains details of
companies with a turnover of up
to £5m.
