industrynews NEW NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND BRANCH Leading UK glass processor and distributor Glassolutions Solaglas is growing with the opening of a new branch in Gateshead to enhance its service to the door and window industry and building trades in the North East of England. Conveniently located in premises on the Team Valley Trading Estate just off the A1, the new Glassolutions Solaglas branch will provide a wide range of glass products including CONTRAFLAM® fire-resistant glass, EcoClear® double and triple glazed sealed units and VITRIO® coloured glass for splashbacks. Like all Glassolutions Solaglas outlets, Gateshead features a trade counter to serve passing local tradespeople and offers delivery services throughout the region. Initially creating three new jobs, the branch will serve customers across Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Teesside. The move reflects the company’s focus on getting close to its customers across all sectors as part of its ‘your glass, our world’ programme following the rebrand from Solaglas to Glassolutions last year. The group now has 18 trade outlets across the UK and has recently also strengthened its presence in the insurance market. NEW AND IMPROVED PREMISES IN PLYMOUTH Sun Trade, one of the leading REHAU trade fabricators in the south, has invested in new, larger premises for its Plymouth depot. The company has had a successful presence in the town since 2006 but is now expanding and relocating to a bigger and better depot on Valley Road Industrial Estate in Plympton. Sun Trade’s Sales Director Graham Davies says the move is just the latest example of the company’s commitment to continual development and improvement. He says: “The Plymouth depot has gone from strength to strength over the years, so much so that it needed to expand in order to keep pace with the growth in sales and the changing requirements of our customers. “The new depot enjoys easier access from the A38 making deliveries and collections for both staff and customers quicker and more efficient, and it has a larger store room and working area, greater office space and a dedicated sales office where new products can be displayed. “We worked closely with our customers to establish their priorities for the new depot and we think we’ve delivered everything they asked for. Initial feedback from customers has been really positive.” Tel: 01989 762600, Fax: 01989 762701, Web: www.rehau.co.uk ‘Brilliant’ Customer Service Pledge Zoom Ready, the company behind innovative trouble-free conservatory roof kits, has promised to deal with all customer queries or concerns within one hour. If customers have a problem or any concern, our customer account teams will look into it and resolve the issue in less than an hour!” John Garrard of Falcon Windows has been very impressed by Zoom’s quick response time.
