MORE BIG PLAYERS CHOOSE FIT SHOW AS MAJOR LAUNCH PLATFORM The FIT Show is set to be the big event of the glazing year with more major industry players making it the launch pad for new products and initiatives. Rehau will be headlining with new multi-chambered profiles to bring its sculptured Total70s system to the same thermal efficiency spec as Total70c chamfered frames while Illbruck will launch its ‘Have One on Us’ campaign where the first 50 installers registering on its stand can fit out an entire house FOC Visit us at Stand 201 with its A-Rated window system containing exclusive components. Visitors to the Business Micros stand can see an exclusive preview of its LogiKal software and there will be celebrations on the Universal Arches stand where the company will be celebrating not only 20 years since it was founded but also its exclusive relationship with suppliers Residence FIT SHOW’S MASTER FITTER CHALLENGE SELECTION PHASE IN FULL SWING Following the outstanding success of the first Master Fitter Challenge at FIT Show 2013, this year’s competition has attracted even more applications from Installers willing to have their individual knowledge and practical skills put to the test. The applicants come from organisations far and wide; some are self-employed sole traders, others represent some of the best known names in the industry. Although the competition was fierce last year there was a strong feeling of camaraderie between the finalists and the experience must have been enjoyable as four of the 2013 finalists are, at the time of print, still in the running for the June 2014 final. 74 9 and Solidor. Many other exhibitors have plans still under wraps and many, such as Glazerite, are promising as many as six launches at the show! Telford will also host the black-tie Gala Cabaret Dinner on the 11th as well as a World Cup Surprise and the Master Fitter Challenge winners, with prizes totalling over £10,000. Once the second round has been completed an independent panel will then select the eight finalists who will then need to demonstrate their skills to a larger audience at Telford in June.
