Looking for a quick solution to the time
consuming process of estimating, Edward
Corcoran, Joinery Manager at Cambium

revolutionised not only their quoting but
improved profit margins.

Joinery manufactures all types of joinery
including windows, doors, stairs & shop
fittings and is one of the larger joinery
manufacturers in Nottinghamshire and
Derbyshire.
Keeping up with quotations was rather
hit & miss but a JMS demonstration
showed Edward that not only was it suitable
for their varied joinery but it also was quick
and easy to use.
Edward has noticed a huge difference
since he has been using the JMS software
for design, quoting and manufacturing.

Quotes no longer get missed and
professional documentation means
the customer sees exactly what
they’ve ordered with true scale
images. Edward says, “Even when
we are not the cheapest, we still win orders as
our professional JMS quotations give customers
confidence that we know what we are doing
and will deliver exactly what they’ve asked for.”
He adds, “Automatically generated paperwork
including quotes, order confirmation, and
delivery notes removes confusion and avoids
disputes later. The best bit is the time it saves
me – at least 70% of my time.”
Edward confirms, “From the moment the
trainer left we were able to start quoting straight
away.”
As well as improving quote to order
conversion, Edward has found the clearly laid
out quotations has improved cash flow with
prompt payment of deposits, and less ‘time

wasting’ clients. “Another benefit”, states
Edward, “is the visibility of my costs. I can now
offer discounts without risking running the job
at a loss. Since we’ve had JMS our profitability
has definitely improved.
“Also, Duplex drawing sheets have been
beneficial for us removing glazier mistakes. We
can now order glass early eliminating waiting
time once the job is finished. Even the joiners
in the workshop have got involved, choosing
the style of cutting list they prefer; helping to
reduce setting out time and removing the need
to manually calculate cutting lists.
