company showcased an
exciting range of products,
including its multi-award
winning aluminium bi-fold
doors. In addition, the
company gave visitors an
exclusive look at the new
Origin Window, offering
premium quality aluminium
flush casement windows.
Clearview met with Ben
Brocklesby, Origin’s Sales and
Marketing Director, to find out
more.
“We are a very successful
family-run business that
has been manufacturing
aluminium bi-fold doors
for the last 12 years. Our
product portfolio has grown
in strength over that period
and we were ready to show
the marketplace all the new
and exciting products and
services we have added to
our business and how in turn
they will benefit our trade
partners”, Ben explains.
The New Origin Aluminium
Window System
The company manufactures
its products from its state-ofart factory in High Wycombe,
designed exclusively by an
in-house R & D team.
“This is the crux of our
success”, Ben explains. “We
are constantly moving the
business forward and looking
at new innovative designs to
offer our customers something
different. All Origin products
are born from the internal
development department and
a main reason for exhibiting at
the show this year is to launch
the new Origin aluminium
flush casement window.

“We wanted to offer our
customers a complete
package, bi-folding doors,
blinds and windows. The
window perfectly matches the
bi-folds and offers the right
combination of strength and
weight. This allows for narrow
sightlines, whilst providing
superior thermal performance
and improved acoustic
dampening.”
The Origin Window,
showcased at the show,
comes in a wide range of
colours; bright primary shades
to deeper earthy tones, wood
effects, traditional black,
white, grey, RAL colours and
dual colours. The window is
an inspiring, beautiful addition
to the Origin range.

Demonstrating Origin’s
creative streak at the show
was a nifty corner bi-fold door
design and a range of madeto-measure electric roller
blinds, both on display.
“We like to offer more than
just a traditional bi-fold and
have created a range of
alternative door options. On
many occasions, the layout
of a room may not suit the
traditional bi-fold structure;
our corner option gives
customers the opportunity to
still install a bi-fold door at 90
degrees or into a bay set.
“In addition, we offer a range
of made-to-measure electric
roller blinds, individually
tailored to any bi-fold door
installation, in a wide range
of colours and print options.
We introduced the product
solution to help add value and
help avenues of increase profit
for our trade customers.
‘Your Lead Time, Not Ours’
Ben explained further, “This
initiative has been extremely
successful with our customers
as it has allowed them to
have their doors delivered
at a time that suits them.
This not only means projects
can be completed quicker,
but also gives our trade
partners greater flexibility and
control of their cash flow on
projects.
Origin has been nominated
for multiple awards for the
initiative. They were shortlisted
at the National Business
Awards for uncompromising
levels of product quality and
service, voted Best Glazing
Product by Build It Magazine
and won an EEF award for
its exceptional customer
service.
A more recent venture for the
company is the sponsorship
advertisements they have
created appearing on SKY’s
home channel 246 and Virgin
265.
“With a full product offering
in place it made sense to push
our products through to the
consumer market. When we
launched our new advert on
1st June 2014 we had not
envisaged such a phenomenal
response - 32% more website
hits in its first week.
“The advert is booked to
run for three months and
initial analysis is telling us the
decision was a good one. All
leads generated by any of
our marketing incentives are
fed directly back to our trade
customers and we also help
them sell to the consumer by
personalising and tailoring
our marketing material to their
brand.”
Ben advises: “We are
committed to working closely
with installers, builders
and trade professionals to
ensure our products meet
their requirements, as well as
those of the homeowner. Our
ultimate aim is to offer the
best in the industry; products
and service and ensure every
one of our trade partners
benefit.”
