Another fantastic
FIT for SWISSPACER!
SWISSPACER is celebrating after
another busy and successful FIT Show.
People wanted to find out more
about ULTIMATE, the best warm edge
spacer bar in the world and try Caluwin,
SWISSPACER’s new energy-calculating
sales aid which lets users change profile,
glass and spacer bar to calculate how
much money and energy
homeowners can save
with their new windows.
It’s already a big hit with
installers who say it’s a
great selling tool.
SWISSPACER’s seminar
on the future of energy
efficiency drew an
impressive crowd, with
representatives from
glass companies, BFRC,
GGF, leading distributors,
IGU makers, systems
companies and fabricators
and installers. Over 40 people attended
to listen to a panel of experts, including
Dr Benjamin Krick from the Passivhaus
Institute discuss the future of high
performance windows.
SWISSPACER’s daily Champagne
Reception was as popular as ever!
Vic De Costa, SWISSPACER Marketing
& Sales Manager
commented:
“We were particularly
pleased with the number of
visitors who attended our
energy efficiency seminar.
I’d like to thank all the
speakers – Dr Benjamin
Krick, Deceuninck’s Roy
Frost, Saint-Gobain’s
Susan Lambeth and
SWISSPACER’s Karl-Theo
Roes -for taking part.”
composite door for a chance to win
an iPad Air. The lucky winner, picked
out by Matthew Glover, FIT Show
chairman, was Richard Hammond, sales
& marketing director of Cutting Edge
UPVC.
Products featured included an
impressive metallic blue gable frame
along with a fully fabricated Universal
Arches logo that involved five bends,
an incredible 67 welds and taking 35
man hours in total. There was also an
arched sliding sash window and arched
shutters, courtesy of their exclusive
relationship with blind and shutter
specialist, Thos. Sanderson. It was also
important for the company to promote
its exclusive partnership agreements
with Eclectic Systems for their
Residence 9 system, along with Solidor
for the arched composite door.
Prefix Systems returned from
their debut at the FIT Show with
a large number of qualified sales
leads, having dazzled visitors with
a range of inventive products for
the extended living space market
including GardenRoom and their
new UrbanRoom.
Yet one of the stars was the new
prototype Clearview rooflight, which
features triple glazing in neutral, blue
and green tints, a variable pitch,
fully insulated frame, coompletely
sealed design and which can boast
U-values as low as 0.6 W/m2K.
It’s also incredibly easy to install.
Having built their success as a BBA
accredited Ultraframe fabricator, in
recent years Prefix’s R&D programme
has yielded the tiled GardenRoom
roof - a focal point on the stand with
the development of a new insulated
eaves beam, designed to eliminate
any chance of condensation on
insulated roofs with an internal
plasterboard finish.
The new contemporary UrbanRoom
was also popular along with the
latest version of the GardenRoom
brochure and new 28 page trade
brochure.

A FIT-TING ANNIVERSARY
Universal Arches again came away
with the bragging rights for the
most leads generated from the FIT
Show, 1,736 in total, in no small part
to the competition to open up a
arched composite door, while also
celebrating 20 years in business.
While the 1,736 leads generated was
down from 2,087 in 2013, footfall was
still highly impressive as stand visitors
attempted to open up the arched
