July 2014 FITReview There’s no business like FIT Show business for The VEKA UK Group The VEKA UK Group took an expansive stand at this year’s FIT Show with a host of new products and services unveiled. Sales and Marketing Director Colin Torley explains: “We chose to launch a number of our newest products and services at The FIT Show because it is the biggest event dedicated to our industry. “The new Imagine Bi-Fold Door was undoubtedly the ‘star of the show’ for us, and received a huge amount of attention. This is a product that we are extremely proud of, so it was great to see everyone taking such an interest. Installers appreciated that this bespoke system has all the hardware housed within the profile and that the door offers a host of benefits to installers and homeowners. The French Door from the Imagine range was also extremely well received, with visitors admiring its flush finish and innovative features, while our next generation M70 which takes the Matrix system to the next level (and will be available in 2015) attracted great attention too. Investment in the doubledecker stand worked well, taking people through product, online marketing, and technology advancements and overall MASCO UKWG customer support. “The whole experience surpassed expectations, especially from a networking and hospitality perspective, allowing us to raise our profile and promote greater understanding of what we offer,” said Ray McGrady, MASCO UKWG Marketing Director. “We cannot wait to come back in 2016.” His comments were echoed by Kevin Cornwall, Sales Director of Seven Day, the Group’s nationwide trade depot network, who said: “The Show was like no other, there was a real sense of purpose with people seriously craving solutions to today’s business challenges.” Nathan Court, Safechoice UK Brand Manager who heads up the Group’s retail offering for installers, added: “Many companies who took part in demonstrations of the system are joining the SafeChoice partnership.” The MASCO UKWG competition draw was won by Sunny Mann of Sunny Eco Homes. All three have been designed to help you tie up less capital in stock, releasing cash into your business. Tony says, “Our customers were telling us that one of their issues was continuing to deliver quality in the face of difficult cashflow. The three new products mean our customers don’t have to compromise on the quality they offer and don’t have to make the false economy of choosing lower quality hardware to cut costs.” Other products attracting much interest were the Mega Egress Hinge, perfect for triple glazed windows and the best-selling corrosion-resistant stainless steel range. The Trojan Group also presented prototypes of its new Chromatika spray finish, which will allow fabricators and installers to benefit from hardware in any RAL colour.
