One of the most common maintenance items done on a vehicle is a Lube Oil and Filter, (LOF). Hopefully this is something you have done on a regular basis, if so it is a good starting point to plan other service items around. Every two or three oil changes are a good time to have the tires rotated to get the most service life out of the tires. Service that can be grouped with the tire rotating is a check of the brakes and having the wheel bearings re-packed. When you have the engine tuned up, it is a good time to have the transmission, driveline u-joints, and rear end checked. Remember even long-life coolants need to be changed, and the radiators flushed. Regular service will help prevent surprise break downs, cancelled jobs, and costly repairs. As you plan the service for the cleaning unit, the service intervals are listed in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual service. You can plan some of the service of you cleaning unit with th e vehicle like checking belts and hoses. There is no substitution for performing maintenance on a regular basis. Daily inspections can be the first sign of a potential problem. Always look for anything that is out of the ordinary, like leaks, loose fasteners, or an unusual sound.
