I finally obtained a permanent studio, my kiln was
hooked up and I could design a
better handling system. I selected a down-draft Laser brand
kiln manufactured in England.
It is a fiber kiln with eight
propane jets designed for continuous reduction firing at high
temperatures. Whereas many
large kilns are low to the floor,
mine is not. The base of the kiln
is 26 inches from the floor, a
perfect working height.

to be patient and allow my pieces

I’ve talked a lot about clay.
Some may think it ridiculous for
me to import clay across the
ocean. But I’ve had my clay evaluated at a ceramic lab. I thought I
could formulate a clay here that
woul
