Another decision to start exchanges between the US Navy Central Command and the Indian Navy headquarters underscores how India is getting integrated with the US strategy in Asia . The United States Navy has changed the name of its Pacific Command to the Indo- Pacific Command to inveigle India into its military architecture . It was not surprising , therefore , that an Indian naval officer attended the re-naming of the Pacific Command and the handing over of this Command to a new officer in June 2018 .
The military and strategic alliance with the United States is going to prove disastrous for the interests of Indian people by making India a part of the US imperialist strategy to dominate Asia and use the Indian soil as its spring board .
The Central Committee of CPI ( ML ) demands that the Modi government should come out of all these military agreements and calls upon the people to oppose the military tie ups with US imperialism . �
Condemn the arrest of activists and intellectuals
The serial raids across the country on the homes of activists and intellectuals who are critical of the government and the ruling party at the Centre is an attempt to trample the democratic rights . The arrests of Sudha Bharadwaj , Vernon Gonsalves , Gautam Navlakha , Varavara Rao , Arun Ferreira and others , are nothing but an attempt by the government to strike terror among those who are struggling for the rights of the people . This is also an attempt by the BJP to invent a false enemy and engage in scaremongering in order to polarise the 2019 elections in its favour . Terms like “ urban naxals ” are invented in order to stifle any criticism of the government .
The arrests should be seen in continuation with the recent attacks on pro-justice voices such as Swami Agnivesh , Umar Khalid and many other student activists . A BJP lawmaker from Karnataka even advocated the murder of “ intellectuals .” Both the arrests and the physical attacks on justice loving people must be seen in a series of attempts to stifle dissent and deny social justice .
The CPI ( ML ) demands immediate release of the arrested individuals , dropping of all false and malicious charges , as these
� arrests are politically motivated and unjustified .

CPI ( ML ) Condemns the steep increase of diesel prices which
is around Rs . 75 in many cities of India . It also condemns the increase of cooking gas price to almost Rs . 500 a cylinder to domestic use and Rs . 800 to non-subsidy consumers . These price increases are a big onslaught on the people . The union government should reduce its taxes by Rs . 10 per litre petrol and diesel , so that the prices will come down . The prices of oil are artificially increased with abnormal taxes by NDA government which are nowhere in the world . This shows insensitivity of government towards aam aadmi who is already suffering with high prices and rupee fall in International market .
