After the lifting of Emergency, Com. Eswaran started
Revolutionary Literary cultural Movement (RLCF) and a monthly
magazine “Sendharagai”. After 1990 the movement got splintered.
He continued his contacts with different groups and worked with
them.
Later com.Eswaran came into contact with CPI(ML) and had
an exhaustive discussion on the Programme and Path documents
of the Party. Finding himself in basic agreement with the party’s line
he joined the party. He translated many documents of the party into
Tamil. He took great care and pains in translating Com. TN’s book
“India Mortgaged” into Tamil.
He played an important role in bringing different communist
revolutionary groups together and into our party. CPI (ML) Tamil Nadu
State Committee was formed and he became its secretary and a
member of the Central Committee. He edited party’s Tamil organ
“Varga Porattam”.
Com. Kovai Eswaran is a living legend of his times. He lived a
simple life ideal for the communists to emulate.

Since then the CR movement faced many ups and downs. Yet
Com Khokan Mazumdar worked untiringly during this period;
sometimes in Jharkand, other times in Jalpaiguri-Coochbihar area
and always returning to Naxalbari area.
He beca,e member of Central Committee of CPI(ML) after its
unity with CPI(ML) central organ Janasakti. Inspite of his advanced
age, he was enthusiastic in sharing his experiences with young
comrades and attentively participated in the CC meetings.
We will always cherish the Memory of
Comrade Khokan Mazumdar.
