imperialist camp. And thus a new type human being was born in
the USSR.
The superiority of socialist system, said com. Rao was again
proved in the defeat of Fascism at the hands of heroic Soviet people.
As com. Stalin theorised, the downfall of fascism weakened the
entire camp of imperialism and paved the way for a new upsurge in
the national liberation movements in colonial and semi-colonial
countries. The Indian communist movement was influenced by the
October revolution and organised many a heroic struggle against
feudalism, colonial rule and plunder. In this course, it made mistakes,
deviated to left and right. Yet, it is advancing. It is the task of the
communist revolutionaries to take the spirit of October revolution to
the people of India, organise them into class struggles and lead
them to success of New democratic Revolution in India, he
conluded.
Comrade Subodh Mitra delineated in detail various struggles
waged by comrade Lenin against all wrong trends before and after
the October revolution and explained the importance of ideological
and political struggle in raising the consciousness of the people.

Comrade Aloke Mukherjee concentrated his speech on the role
played by the USSR in the Second World War and defeat of fascism.

The meeting concluded with the speech by Com.G.Vijaya Kumar
who condemned the US imperialist threats of aggression on North
Korea. He also called upon the cadre to take the message of October
revolution to the people and imbibe the lessons of October revolution
and construction of socialist society.
The public meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by
Com. Jhansi on behalf of AP state Committee which made all the
arrangements for the CC to organise this programme.
At the end the cultural activists enacted a freeze shot play, “Keep
the Red Flag High”. It enacted various stages of heroic struggles of
Telangana peasants, Naxalbari peasants and workers and
Srikakulam adivasis under the leadership of communists. It inspired
the viewers with revolutionary enthusiasm.
