Comrade Khudan Mallick,
member of Central Control
Commission of CPI(ML) passed
away on 29 th November 2017
while undergoing treatment at
North Bengal Medical college
Hospital, Siliguri. 90-year old
com. Khudan Mallick was one of
the organisers of the Naxalari
struggle. He came over to the
communist ideology and worked
in the communist and peasant
organisations since 1949. He played key role in building Naxalbari
movement along with comrades Kanu Sanyal, Jangal Santhal
and Khokan Mazumdar. The Naxalbari struggle became a polar
star for the Indian ommunist movement after the state
government killed 9 women in police firing.
When sever repression was unleashed on Naxabari
movement and on the communist revolutionary movement, com.
Khudan Mallick was one of the leaders( comrades Kanu Sanyal,
Jangal Santhal, Deepak Biswas) who went to China. They spent
three months in China and /studied Marxism and experiences
of Chinese revolution. When returning they met Comrade Mao
who told them to conduct the Indian revolution on their own
applying international experiences to the concrete condition of
India.
During all the ups and down faced by the revolutionary
movement after the Naxalbari struggle, comrade Khudan Mallick
remained with com. Kanu sanyal. He whole heartedly welcomed
the 2005 unity of communist revolutionaries.
After the death of com. Kanu Sanyal he worked as the
member of West Bengal state Committee, secretary of Darjeeling
district committee and chairman of Kanu Sanyal memorial
committee. In the All India conference, he was elected as a
member of Cenral control commission of CPI(ML). He was joined
in the hospital to get treated for a small accident and old age
problems compounded it to deteriorate his health. His death is a
great loss to the movements of adivasis, tea garden workers
and peasants and also to Darjeeling district committee and the
Party.
We will always cherish his contribution to the revolutionary
movement.
Red Salute to Comrade Khudan Mallick!
