Athletics West
One of the most popular sub-groups of vintage Nike collecting is the early
running club apparel. Athletics West is the most recognized, as it was the
elite running club from 1977, through the 1980s. It was almost all team-issued
stuff and wasn’t mass produced. In the mid 1980s, Nike produced quite a few
Athletics West items, using their blue tag, and those pieces were sold to the
public. Finding the early gear is getting harder and harder, and you have to be
