The two-day festival was born in 2012 as a celebratory response to the tornadoes that struck the area a year earlier. Each year since then, the party’s only gotten bigger. In addition to newer acts, Rock the South has made a space for country music legends each year of its existen ce, and 2016 continued that tradition in a big way.
