Culinary Arts Academy Culinary Arts Fundamentals Location: Sonia Gutierrez Campus This 10-month program provides a foundation for students interested in a career in the culinary arts. Classes include theoretical instruction and hands-on practice in the School’s teaching kitchen. Key principles include: sanitation and safety, knife skills, food prepara- tion, and more. Our course prepares students to take the ServSafe® certification exam. Requirements: - Eligible for ESL 6 or higher - Advising session with the Culinary Arts Academy Director or designee International Cuisines Location: Sonia Gutierrez Campus The five-month program offers various culinary historical perspectives and influential contributions of different cultures with their corresponding cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and local taste.
