Shopping For something ‘different’ you can’t go wrong having a look at the shops in Covent Garden Market. Handmade bags, tea shirts, ceramics, jewellery, teddy bears, vintage militaria - it’s a really eclectic mix. The market itself hosts different stalls on different days - antiques on Monday, on Tuesday to Friday stalls offer household goods, clothes, food and gifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays it’s the turn of arts and crafts. Never a dull moment. For clothes and fashion shops not too far away, Long Acre, King Street, James Street and Floral Street have a wide selection. Covent Garden is the nearest tube station but it is quite walkable from Burleigh Mansions. In that area you will find many of the well known designer brands plus a few that you probably won’t have heard of. Put on some comfortable shoes and have a good wander around the area, have an adventure! If you are in search of a more mainstream and bustling retail experience Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road are both popular shopping destinations and provide fashion, technology and furniture to the masses. If you are after a department store, John Lewis, House Of Fraser and Selfridge’s in Oxford Street should fit the bill. Don’t forget the luxurious Liberty’s at the top of Regent Street, where Regent Street meets Oxford Street - always worth a visit. www.clarendonuk.com Int/Mob: +44 1784 489 200
