Interview with
the board
How was 2017 for Civitta?
2017 was a challenging year full of new opportunities. The obstacles we faced helped
us grow stronger as a team and prepared us for even more significant achievements.
In 2017 we expanded our global presence by acquiring a management consultancy in

have been focused on identifying and utilizing synergies between companies to provide
wider service offering to clients. At the same time, we remained committed to our values
and dedicated to contributing to the development of our employees and customers all
over the world. In 2017, we continued our employee-oriented human resources policy
of helping our people to discover and enhance their talents. We also strengthened our
innovation offerings and developed a new business line by introducing digital services.
Let’s talk more about innovations,
what is Civitta’s experience in this field?
We have extensive experience in working with start-ups. Our experts help innovative
new companies raise funds and successfully implement their projects. We accompany
our clients all the way – from evaluating their needs, choosing suitable funding mecha-
nisms, and assessing project eligibility to building project scope, writing applications,
and managing funded projects. By 2017, we helped 20 companies raise capital through
the European Commission’s Horizon2020 SME Instrument program. In Ukraine, for
example, of the eight recipients awarded funding through the program, five were
Civitta’s clients.
Civitta also takes specific initiatives to help today’s dynamic and innovative start-ups
become tomorrow’s industry leaders. Some of the initiatives that we are currently work-
ing on include: Startupreneurs, Startup Scaleup, HubIT, and Ajujaht. Startupreneurs is
an international exchange program for entrepreneurs. Startup Scaleup is a six-month
to one-year accelerator program. HubIT promotes ICT networking and experience sharing. Civitta provides
