The obstacles we faced helped us grow stronger as a team and prepared us for even more significant achievements. In 2017 we expanded our global presence by acquiring a management consultancy in Romania and establishing an office in Poland. Our Mergers and Acquisitions activities 2 | have been focused on identifying and utilizing synergies between companies to provide wider service offering to clients. At the same time, we remained committed to our values and dedicated to contributing to the development of our employees and customers all over the world. In 2017, we continued our employee-oriented human resources policy of helping our people to discover and enhance their talents. We also strengthened our innovation offerings and developed a new business line by introducing digital services. Let’s talk more about innovations, what is Civitta’s experience in this field? We have extensive experience in working with start-ups. Our experts help innovative new companies raise funds and successfully implement their projects. We accompany our clients all the way – from evaluating their needs, choosing suitable funding mecha- nisms, and assessing project eligibility to building project scope, writing applications, and managing funded projects. By 2017, we helped 20 companies raise capital through the European Commission’s Horizon2020 SME Instrument program. In Ukraine, for example, of the eight recipients awarded funding through the program, five were Civitta’s clients. Civitta also takes specific initiatives to help today’s dynamic and innovative start-ups become tomorrow’s industry leaders.
