Tax Rate Vs. City Services
Consistent with previous years, few Arlington residents say they would be “very willing”
to see either an increase in property tax rates or a decrease in city services. Overall,
receptiveness to a tax increase, either to increase city services or to maintain city
services, appears to remain fairly low and similar to last year. Receptiveness to a tax
increase just to maintain current levels of city services is very low and similar to last
year, while it has declined significantly from 2000.
