Summer Safety Tips
Summer is a great time for families to enjoy different
indoor and outdoor activities. Take a few minutes to
be safe and healthy and follow these tips.
• Teach kids how to swim. Always designate a water
watcher. Formal swimming lessons can protect young
children from drowning. Register for a class today!
• Learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Your CPR
skills could save someone’s life. Turn to page 16 and sign
up for a class!
• Use U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets on the water.
• Put on sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat to protect your
skin from the sun.
• Drink plenty of water even if you don’t feel thirsty.
• Put on insect repellent.
• Wash your hands often.
