Music and Arts Festival
TEEN PROGRAMS
“ Rule the Pool ” Fridays
The Laguna Niguel Youth Committee (LNYC) hosts this
annual event to provide local middle & high school bands
an opportunity to perform in the Crown Valley Park
Amphitheater. Bands will perform 30-minute sets and have
15 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to break down their
equipment. The LNYC will select up to 3 bands at their May
3 meeting, depending on how many early band applications
they receive.
Enjoy a night of water
volleyball, inner-tube
races, diving board
contests and music
provided by a D.J.
(Sorry, adults not
invited!) Participants
may not leave until
10pm, unless released
to a parent. Snacks
are sold for $1 each.
Admission sales end at 8:30pm.
The LNYC sponsors the In-N-Out truck which provides
burgers, fries and a drink for a suggested donation of
$12 per person. The LNYC determines each year which
organization will receive proceeds from this event.

Super Sitters
Learn how to prevent accidents, what to do in case of
an emergency, child development, do’s and don’ts, age-
appropriate games, job hunting and finances. Don’t just be
a babysitter – be a super sitter! Bring paper / pencil and
please ask an adult to attend the last 15 minutes of class.

CPR, First Aid,
AED Instruction
The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/
AED program is to help participants recognize and
respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid
emergencies for adults, children, and infants. The courses
in this program teach skills that participants need to know
to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person
until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take
over. This program will include a two-year certification
from the American Red Cross.

• Age Requirement: 13-17 yrs.
• Volunteer Hours: 8am-12:30pm or 12:30-4:45pm for
1 week during the program.
Note: Parks and Recreation does not accept
court ordered volunteers.
