The City of Laguna Niguel is accepting applications from high school students residing in Laguna Niguel who are interested in serving on the Youth Committee. Application period begins April 8 with the deadline on Friday, April 26. For more information or to apply visit LNTEENS.org. Jr. Civic Workshops 6th-8th graders are invited to attend our monthly workshops on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Meet representatives from local and out-of-state colleges, universities, art schools and trade schools, and ask questions about their organizations, application process, and costs for attending. Hear a presentation about how to dress for interviews and how to answer questions from potential employers from 10:30- 10:45am. Location: CH, Community Room and Council Chambers March 30 F 10485 High School Job & College Fair Sa The Laguna Niguel Youth Committee (LNYC) hosts this annual event to provide local middle & high school bands an opportunity to perform for their peers. Bands will perform 30-minute sets and will have 15 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to break down their equipment. The LNYC selects up to 3 bands at their April 11 or May 2 meeting, depending on how many band applications they have received. Applications are available online at LNTEENS.org, the Crown Valley Park Registration Office, or Laguna Niguel City Hall. The LNYC sponsors a dessert truck which provides a variety of desserts for your enjoyment. Location: SCC Music Festival TEEN PROGRAMS 10am-12pm Free* Celebrating 30 years of cityhood! CPR, First Aid, AED Instruction The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/ AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person and decide whether advanced medical care is needed. This program will include a two-year certification from the American Red Cross.
