Youth Committee Applications

The City of Laguna Niguel is accepting applications from high school students residing in Laguna Niguel who are interested in serving on the Youth Committee . Application period begins Monday , April 9 with the deadline on Friday , April 27 . For more information or to apply , visit LNteens . org .
Jr . Civic Workshops
6th-8th graders are invited to attend our monthly workshops on the 2nd Tuesday of each month . Workshop schedule : March 13 , Judge Anderson , O . C . Juvenile Courts ; April 10 , O . C . Animal Services ; May 8 , Graduation and Elected Officials .
Community Service hours are awarded each month . Register at LNteens . org .
Location : City Hall , Community Room 2nd Tues . 6:30-7:30pm 6th-8th graders Free

Music and Arts Festival

The Laguna Niguel Youth Committee ( LNYC ) hosts this annual event to provide local middle & high school bands an opportunity to perform in the Crown Valley Park amphitheater . Bands will perform 30-minute sets and have 15 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to break down their equipment . The LNYC will select up to 3 bands at their April 12 or May 3 meeting , depending on how many early band applications they receive . Applications are available online at LNteens . org , and in person at the Crown Valley Park Registration Office and Laguna Niguel City Hall .

CPR , First Aid , AED Instruction

The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid / CPR / AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac , breathing and first aid emergencies for adults , children , and infants . The courses in this program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over . Super Sitters

Learn how to prevent accidents , what to do in case of an emergency , child development , do ’ s and don ’ ts , ageappropriate games , job searching , and finances . Don ’ t just be a babysitter – be a super sitter ! Bring paper / pencil and please ask an adult to attend the last 15 minutes of class .
Instructor : Charlene Jordan / Location : CVP , View Room 9768 F May 18 6-9pm 11 + yrs $ 38 * *$ 5 ( cash ) material fee is due to instructor at class . Please bring correct change .
The LNYC sponsors a food truck which provides burgers , chips and a drink at the event for a suggested donation of $ 10 per person . The LNYC determines each year which organization will receive proceeds from this event .

High School Job & College Fair
Organized by the Laguna Niguel Youth Committee
Meet potential employers and learn about part-time job opportunities . Meet representatives from local colleges , universities and trade schools , and ask questions about their application process and costs for attending . There will be a presentation on how to dress for successful interviews and answer questions from potential employers from 10:30-10:45am .
