POLICE DEPARTMENT DISTRICT REPORT DISTRICT ONE On October 22, 2017, a 59 year-old man visiting from Fort Lauderdale was working underneath an au- tomobile on S.E. Thornhill Drive when the vehicle fell on top of him. An officer assisted fire rescue in lifting the vehicle off the victim. The victim was flown to the hospital for his injuries. On October 24, 2017, an officer responded to a suspicious person call in the area of N.W. Fairfax Ave- nue. The officer located a 27 year-old male emerging from between two homes and found his pockets full of stolen property. The suspect was arrested and charged with 10 auto burglaries that occurred that evening, including a spree of auto and residential burglaries in the area of N.W. Clark Avenue. Criminal Investigations Division Detectives arrested a man who resides on N.E. Sagamore Drive on six counts of possession of child porn and four counts of transmission of child pornography. Information was received from Internet Crimes Against Children that known child pornography was transmitted through the suspect’s email account. The device used was found in the suspect’s possession at his residence and he then admitted to detectives that he has done this for years. DISTRICT TWO A 71 year-old male was arrested on the charges of stalking and two counts of vandalism after he was captured on video damaging his neighbor’s property in the Tradition area. Criminal Investigations Division Detectives began working with FDLE on a theft ring that involved a large quantity of razor products being stolen from a store on S.W. Village Parkway. Detectives identi- fied the suspect and arrested him for grand theft, felony retail theft, and resisting arrest. DISTRICT THREE The area of S.W. Yamada Drive experienced three incidents of auto burglaries of unlocked vehicles. Items stolen were anything of value. Video captured an unknown sliver/light gray or white vehicle driv- ing slowly down the street, pulling into a driveway. A Spree of auto burglaries occurred in the area on S.W. Ingrassina Avenue October 23 and 24, 2017 in the overnight hours. Five vehicles were entered and anything of value was stolen. DISTRICT FOUR On October 16, 2017, a male entered a bank on S.E. Port St. Lucie Boulevard demanding money from the teller. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and walked out of the bank in an unknown direction. A male attempted to shoot himself with a gun under his chin at his home on S.E. Lennard Road. The individual walked into the Emergency Room with an injury to his nose and forehead. He is expected to make a full recovery. The Special Investigations Division, in conjunction with the K-9 Unit, Neighborhood Patrol, U.S. Postal Inspectors, D.E.A. and I.C.E. intercepted a package containing a kilo of cocaine which was to be deliv- ered to a home on S.E. West Dunbrooke Circle. A controlled delivery was conducted, re sulting in a traf- fic stop of the suspect and a search warrant of the residence. In addition to the 2.25 pounds of cocaine, individually packaged baggies of cocaine concealed in a can, 135 grams of marijuana, 40 Alprazolam pills, cutting agent, scales, sifters, and packaging materials were recovered. An adult female and an adult male were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
