STRATEGIC
PLAN
T R A N S P A R E N C Y
The City Council’s adoption of its Strategic Plan provided the roadmap for City staff to
follow throughout 2017. The Strategic Plan spells out the Council’s mission and vision
for Port St. Lucie. Almost everything staff does relates in some way to the Plan’s seven
goals.
The City Manager this year took steps to keep not only Council but all City residents
informed about how staff is working to meet these important goals. Action steps and
timelines were identified for each objective in the plan, and a Strategic Plan Coordinator
was hired. The Strategic Plan Coordinator position works with all departments and staff
champions to ensure that objectives are measurable and achieved.
