STEWARDSHIP
The City of Port St. Lucie is fortunate to have abundant
environmental assets. The North Fork of the St. Lucie River, a
state designated aquatic preserve, is a vital part of the region’s
culture and history. The river’s health affects not only the Treasure
Coast’s environment and ecology – but also is instrumental
to the economy, tourism and quality of life. The City knows
these environmental resources are precious and need constant
protection so they will thrive for future generations. The City
has undertaken significant projects in the past year that
aim to safeguard these resources.
