Someday,
Lagos will be
a Smart City?
I
n these years there will be very few things
left can be done without an ICT (Information
and Communication Technology) device
or without using and interfacing with some
digitalized facilities. Following this assumption
we increasingly has started to speak about
Smart City, also in unexpected contexts,
such as Central Africa such as Nigeria and
its City State Lagos in particularly.
Interesting are the programs launched
by some of the world’s leading ICT firms,
such as Cisco’s IoT or IBM Smarter Cities
Challenge. If here, the Nigerian could adopt
one of these programs and bring them to
impact on their infrastructure system, then
they could gain respect from the advanced
nations and achieve Vision 2020 protocol in
real time.
