CINEMA, DESTINATION IMAGE & PLACE BRANDING The number of travellers to China increased slightly in the first half of 2010, remaining basically unchanged after that, before falling slightly from Q2 of 2012. Also, while as a whole the number of travellers to South Korea increased, the value was significantly negative in Q1 of 2011. Conversely, the number of travellers to Japan showed negative values in Q2 and Q3 of 2011, but changed to a positive value in Q4. It grew significantly in Q2 of 2010, while also increased majorly compared to 2009 in Q2 of 2012, indicating high growth across all of 2012. 4) Japan Figure 4 shows the number of overseas travellers from Japan in all of the quarters from 2010 to 2012, with each of the quarters in 2009 set as 100.
