New vision for Circular Quay
The Wanda Group has unveiled its vision for their
Circular Quay project in Sydney, which includes a
5-star Wanda Vista Hotel. The luxury Wanda Vista
Hotel will be the first new 5-star hotel project to
open on Circular Quay since 2014.
The hotel will offer 181 guest rooms, with
unparalleled views across Sydney Harbour and is
slated to open in late 2021.
New Novotel joins MCEC footprint
AccorHotels’ Novotel will be developed next to the Melbourne
Convention and Exhibition Centre on the South Wharf. The
new-build 347-room Novotel Melbourne South is scheduled to
open in early 2018.
AccorHotels’ Pacific chief operating officer, Simon McGrath,
said that the development of the Novotel would contribute
significantly to the continued evolution of Melbourne as one of
Asia Pacific’s most important tourism, meeting and events cities.
“Significant investment in infrastructure such as this Novotel
hotel will further increase the capacity for Melbourne to attract
significant events, conferences and exhibitions and cater to the
domestic and international travel markets,” he said.

Four Points hotel in Japan with Four Points
by Sheraton Hakodate. The hotel offers
more than 1200sqm of versatile function
facilities, including a grand banquet hall.
Darling
Harbour gets
the Vibe
TFE Hotels has
announced it will
open Vibe Hotel
Sydney Darling
Harbour in 2019. The hotel on the upper
end of Chinatown will offer 145 rooms and
suites, all-day dining restaurant, meeting
rooms and infinity edge rooftop pool.
Four Points
for Docklands
Four Points by
Sheraton Melbourne
Docklands has
opened offering
273 guest rooms
including 16 studios. The hotel features
five state-of-the-art meeting and function
rooms that can cater up to 450 guests.
Gatherings can also be hosted outside on
the outdoor decking area, which is ideal
for cocktail events.
