he homeowners of this Charleswood cucina started
with a small space, separated from its adjacent
sunken living area. Aiming to create interaction
between those two areas, with a new Tuscan inspired
kitchen, the process began. This contemporary kitchen
uses the ideas found in Italy and modernizes the
functions and fi nishes. Soft taupe colours are chosen
over farmhouse rustic, and countertop and tiles are
decidedly more glam. Beautiful Taj Mahal quartzite
countertops are chosen for their convenience and
function, while achieving the grandeur of marble. A
combination of mosaic tiles is used as backsplash and
behind the stove achieving a stunning design feature.
From this follows lots of function. A high achieving wall
packs in storage, refrigeration, three ovens and a wine
fridge – all necessary for this entertaining family.
