When did you start making art ? About 16 years ago , I started making abstract paintings . If I don ’ t paint , I get cranky .
When did your passion for painting turn to fashion ? Necessity . Everyone needs a shirt to wear ! It was a way to support myself while doing something I loved .
What do you love about designing and creating clothes ? My goal in life is to make others smile and feel good . I love when a woman tries something on outside of her comfort zone , then I see her beaming in it . Comfort zones are meant to be broken !
How would you describe your style ? Covered in paint .
What makes Winnipeg a great city to pursue fashion design and art ? People are real here . They smile . They see quality instantly and are willing to pay for that which they feel is right and true .
Where do you take out of town friends to show off the city ? The Exchange District .
Where do you go for walks ? Oak Hammock Marsh .

Is there a food you can ’ t live without ? Where do you go for it ? Potatoes . My sweetheart makes the best . Fried in too much butter with a little hot sauce and eggs on top . I love deer + almond ' s baby potatoes , cured pork , tobiko , and green onion .
