Churchnet has restructured our Board of Directors and our staff roles to allow us to focus specifically on these initiatives as we seek to focus on the needs surfaced by the congregations we serve. We are committed to facilitating the collaboration our church leaders desire among congregations as we learn from each other and work together. Communication and technology offer new ways for congregations to collaborate.
We are assisting congregations with a variety of approaches as they seek to think strategically about the future of their ministries. We want to be a resource as they seek to know and do God’s will. One of the most common needs and desires which surfaced throughout our process was the desire of congregations to reach and engage younger generations and changing cultures. We are committed to helping church leaders understand the new generations and build relationships as they share the gospel.
Many of the churches talked with us about their desire to be more connected to their communities. We believe this happens as the churches seek to understand and address the issues confronting the people who live in their communities. Congregations need to demonstrate they care about people and their lives as they seek to earn the right to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
I am genuinely excited about the future of Churchnet’s ministry. I am also excited about the leadership transition we are beginning. I believe God has been leading in this process, and I am confident our new leaders have the gifts to lead our network as we seek to implement our Vision 2020 plan serving churches.
